To create the perfect outdoor living space, you need to look closely at the space you have available and choose a layout that offers the best use of the area. If the area is large enough you may be able to create two unique living areas. One can be used for relaxing, while the other can have a more family style feel to it.
The Bar & Grill
There are two elements of outdoor living space design that go hand in hand. On one side, you have your typical backyard BBQ grill. On the other, you have a bar. The bar can be designed to dispense both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Between the two halves sections, you can place a table and chairs so that you can eat the BBQ and share a beer or two!
Outdoor Living Space Ideas
If you have a swimming pool or hot tub, there is nothing better than taking a small corner of your backyard area and turning it into your own little backyard paradise. Install a few plan boxes and a few standing trees. Add a few creeping vines and let them grow to create a canopy over the top of your little sanctuary. Creating a metal frame around the sides and over the top will give the creeping vines something to cling to as they grow to fill in the canopy.
If you are an avid sports fan, turn your little backyard sanctuary into a sportsman’s heaven. Create a small weatherproof alcove and hang a flat-screen television up behind the bar. Add a few bar stools and a table with a chair or two. With the right layout, you can entertain guests and have your own backyard tailgate party, complete with ringside seats and a beer tap close at hand.
Outside Living Room
What better way to spend a relaxing evening at home than to sit in your outside living room. Add a couch, a chair or two, an end table, a coffee table, and a few pieces of décor and you can create a living area similar to what you have inside your home. Being able to enjoy the same type of quiet atmosphere in your own backyard, gives you a chance to relax in comfort and get some fresh air in the process.
Outdoor living space ideas can be found all around you. Mix and match them as you please to create the perfect living environment for you and your family. Your home should be a safe haven where you can live, love, and enjoy the time you spend there. Creating your own outdoor living space design will give you an opportunity to make your living area uniquely your own.
