Regardless of whether you live in off campus student housing or a residential apartment in West Chester, closets are often the biggest catch-all in an apartment. We throw things in them in an attempt to get them out of sight. Sometimes, items are placed in the closet simply because we don’t have any other place to put them. There are quite a few DIY hacks to rearranging your bedroom closet so that it’s better organized. The key is finding one that suits you and will actually do the trick. A little forethought and planning will help you finish your bedroom closet organization quickly and efficiently.
Clear Away the Clutter
When you start to clean out your closet, clear away the clutter first. If there are items you want to keep, find a permanent home for them. Keeping them in your closet is fine as long as you can create a designated spot where the item can be kept permanently. Other items need to be relocated, donated, or thrown away. Avoid moving things from place to place. Find them a new home as soon as you take them out of your closet.Eliminate Things You No Longer Where or Need
There are some things you no longer need. While they may be in good condition, they still need to be out of your closet and on to their next home. Donating items you don’t want or need anymore is a great way to reduce waste. If you have the time and are feeling energetic, have a garage sale. See if your neighbors want to join in and you can all get together for one big sale. The Salvation Army, Goodwill or your local thrift store are always looking for good donations.
